Information at the station

There’s a new display at our local station, telling us when the next trams are departing from the stop down the street.   Helpful, I suppose, for anyone transferring fromn the train to the tram, but I’m not sure that many people actually do this.  Still, nice idea….

IMG_9276aBut a better idea would be to tell us where the trains are headed.    For most of the day (after the morning peak)  all the city-bound trains go to Flinders Street – but then usually keep going to Southern Cross and thence out west.   But do the displays give any hint that if you want to go to Southern Cross, you don’t need to change at Flinders St?   No….there’s no clue as to this until the train actually arrives at Flinders St.
