‘Twas the evening before the re-lockdown, with restaurants expected to be closed (except for takeaways) for 6 weeks. We thought we’d get in one last dinner at a restaurant before retreating again into our burrows.
Well, we weren’t the only ones with this idea! Every restaurant in our local strip was full to the permitted maximum (at least)!
In fact, we had tried the previous day to make a booking, but the places were already full. Hence, our eventual destination wasn’t our first choice, and we had to fit in with their timing – but turned out very well indeed. And while we were out and about, we ran into two of our neighbours – all with the same idea.
