I received an email telling me that the price of Netflix is increasing (as has been happening in the USA). The email says, “Because we’re hard at work improving Netflix so that you can have even more great TV shows and movies to enjoy.”
I’m not so sure. Seems to me that they’ve been doing very well during this COVID-19 pandemic, and the old principle applies: if the market will let you increase your prices, then you should.
Bear in mind that Netflix has got a few extra costs to meet, such as the Sussex deal. But of course, they’ve been brought on board to produce more “great shows”, just as the email says!
That said, the cost is still fairly modest, so I guess we’ll just put up with it.
