The Christening

We went to a Serbian Orthodox christening.   Last time I was at one of these (quite a few years ago), the entire service was in Serbian.  On this occasion, significant portions of it were in English, no doubt mainly in deference to the mother who isn’t Serbian, but perhaps also an acknowledgement that English is the first language of many of those  attending (including quite a number of children).
