After attending the Slava at the Monastery, we headed to Bateman’s Bay. We had a quick coffee stop at Bungendore but didn’t feel compelled to spend time looking around the various “old wares” on offer.
It’s still a bit of a challenge, of course, but the road is in good condition and the imposition of appropriate speed limits meant that the traffic was well-behaved (at least, for the duration of our trip).
We always like Bateman’s Bay, especially the riverside walk. There weren’t too many people around which perhaps helped. We ate at the Soldiers’ Club, and were happy with the food: plain, perhaps, but perfectly adequate.
