Paul Montford in Canberra

There are a few sculptures and busts in the National Portrait Gallery as well as portraits, including two works by Paul Montford, displayed side-by-side.

These are bronze busts of Sir Robert Gibson (donated by the Australian Industry Group) and Sidney Myer (donated by Coles Myer).

He’s also represented in the National Gallery, with a bronze of “Atalanta Defeated” (which apparently pre-dates his time in Australia, as it dates from circa 1900).
